Just sharing a few pics here of a nice paddle in the Adirondaks in mid-October.  This was largely a repeat of the  trip I did last spring, leaving from Saranac Lake and paddling south-west before turning around on day three. This time I made it a bit further, through the upper locks to Middle Saranac and then north to Weller Pond. Big thanks to Robin and Mom for helping get me and the kayak to Saranac Lake and to Brett for hosting me on both sides of my trip.  Next stop is Gloucester, MA and then hopefully the Bermuda Triangle via sail.

Family pic after getting to Brett’s house in Saranac Lake. Wish Brett was in this!

My put-in on Lake Flower in Saranac, about a ten minute walk from Brett’s house towing this thing

On the water again.

Adirondak Lean-to – Cold River.

I’m calling this Whale Rock

Still some nice colors

Second night on lower Saranac Lake

Visiting an island I was on four years ago – memories.

Heading north to Weller Pond for night 3.

Night 4 on a private island in Lower Saranac. Thanks to the Carls for the deluxe tent loaner.

Heading back to Brett’s – ready for some good food, company, and a hot shower (not necessarily in that order).
